Overview
The PTFE Coated Adhesive Tape is constructed using finely processed imported fiberglass fabric coated with PTFE resin, backed with a high-performance organic silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side. Using Procedure
1. Surface Preparation
Thoroughly clean the target surface using industrial solvents like isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the area is completely dry, free of oil, dust, and debris to maximize the silicone adhesive’s bonding performance.
2. Application & Lamination
Peel back the yellow PVC release liner gradually while applying the tape. Use a rubber roller or squeegee to apply uniform pressure across the tape surface, eliminating trapped air bubbles and ensuring full contact.
Matters Needing Attention
- Adhesive Curing Time: Allow the tape to set for at least 24 hours at room temperature before exposing it to extreme high temperatures or heavy mechanical friction to ensure maximum bond strength.
- Shelf Life: The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive has a typical shelf life of 6 to 12 months. Ensure inventory is rotated and used within this timeframe for optimal tackiness.
- Storage Conditions: Store the tape rolls in a cool, dark place with stable humidity. Prolonged exposure to UV light or extreme ambient heat in storage can degrade the adhesive backing.
