PTFE Coated Fiberglass Mesh Conveyor Belt

  • Optimized Airflow: Open-mesh design maximizes thermal efficiency and accelerates drying times.
  • High Flex Fatigue Resistance: Built for continuous operation over small-diameter pulleys.
  • Edge Reinforcement Options: Customizable Kevlar or PTFE edges to prevent fraying and tracking issues.
  • Versatile Splicing: Supplied with mechanical fasteners or non-metallic splices tailored to your machinery.

Overview

The PTFE Coated Fiberglass Mesh Conveyor Belt is woven from premium alkali-free glass fiber and coated with a specialized PTFE modified formulation. Its unique open-mesh surface design ensures optimal air permeability and minimizes heat loss during operation. It is an essential component for continuous thermal processing environments. Note: To guarantee optimal performance, we provide a variety of standard mechanical and non-metallic splices tailored to your specific equipment needs.

Data Sheet

Product Model Mesh Size (mm) Max Width (mm) Weight (g/m²) PTFE Content (%) Tensile Strength (N/5cm)

YS6013 10 x 10 4000 360 24 970 / 1400

Key Features

  • Temperature Resistance: Capable of operating continuously in extreme environments from -140°C to 300°C.
  • Air Permeability: The open mesh design significantly reduces heat source consumption and improves drying efficiency.
  • Flex Fatigue Resistance: High tensile strength allows it to be used over small diameter pulleys without cracking.
  • Chemical & Anti-stick: Unaffected by most chemicals and easily repels resins, paints, and other sticky substances.

Product Applications

  • Drying conveyor belts for textile printing, bleaching, fabric shrinking, and non-woven fabric processing.
  • Silkscreen printing, UV curing machines, and paper glazing drying tunnels.
  • Thermal drying and continuous freezing conveyor lines for the food processing industry.
  • Conveyor systems for laminated glass drying lines.
  • High-frequency and microwave drying operations requiring efficient hot air circulation.

Using Procedure

1. Joint Splicing & Alignment
Ensure the mechanical or bullnose splice is perfectly aligned during installation. Misalignment will cause the belt to track incorrectly and lead to premature edge fraying.

2. Tensioning Setup
Apply tension gradually after installing the belt. Over-tensioning can stretch the mesh structure and reduce flex life, while under-tensioning may cause slippage on the drive rollers.

Matters Needing Attention

  • Edge Reinforcement Protection: Monitor the reinforced edges (usually PTFE film or Kevlar stitching) regularly. Do not allow the belt to rub against stationary machine parts, as edge damage will quickly compromise the entire belt.
  • Mesh Cleaning: Clean the mesh periodically to prevent the buildup of dried resins or food particles, which can block airflow and reduce the belt’s thermal efficiency. Use soft brushes and warm water; never use abrasive wire brushes.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: Prevent sharp tools, metal shards, or abrasive materials from falling onto the mesh during operation, as they can easily puncture or cut the fiberglass yarns.
